Colorado College forward Jaden Schwartz will miss the rest of the World Junior Championship with Team Canada after suffering a fractured ankle in Tuesday night’s win over the Czech Republic.
It’s believed Schwartz, the Tigers’ top scorer with 11 goals and 26 points, will be out of action up to six weeks.

Hate to see that. Even though he's a CC guy, it's great having top players in the WCHA
That's a big disappointment. It's not the fact that he's another representation of college hockey, but it's the fact he made team Canada... Canada doesn't respects our game, Canada thinks the NCAA is a joke and their junior is unrivaled by any program. Swartz made it in though and it's a huge shame to see his WJC experience ended this year.
That's tough to hear, especially after everything his family is going through already. Best of luck to him.
I hate CC but that really sucks. This is why I hate when our guys go to the World juniors during the college season. Hope he gets better soon.

I'll start off by saying I'm a CC fan. I know in the spirit of competition we go back and forth with comments about each other's programs. I just want to say, outside of the games, I find DU fans very classy and great hockey fans. There are other team's fans in this league who would be celebrating Jaden's injury. Even though we are bitter rivals I applaud your heartfelt smypathy. His broken ankle is really a minor setback compared to what their family has been through with Mandi's illness. Thank you guys for being classy. BTW any new developments with Jesse Martin?
