DU 4 - UND 2 FINAL

(above) Video highlights of game
The home locker room in Ralph Engelstad Arena was full of frustration, disappointment and anger late Saturday night, consumed with a feeling that only two players inside of it have ever experienced. For the first time in 37 months — a span of more than three years and 25 series — the UND men’s hockey team was swept at home.
-Grand Forks Herald
The University of Denver came storming back from a 2-0 deficit in the second period to score four unanswered goals tonight in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The pivotal second period saw the Pioneers score three goals in the final ten minutes of the period.

With the victory DU, went 4-0-0 against North Dakota for the first four game regular season sweep since 1992-93.

Thanks to upsets by Colorado College 6-4 over St. Cloud State and Minnesota-Duluth over Wisconsin 4-0, DU is all alone in first place in the WCHA.

This is obviously the refs' fault.

I'm guessing LetsGoDU won't get a lot of internet traffic from North Dakota tonight. :-)

If the internet is as quiet as the Ralph was, it will be even calmer around here than last night.

Score was 4-2 not 4-0. Great sweep by DU!!!

Great Win for DU. Do you guys mind if a Gopher fan jumps on your bandwagon for the rest of the year? Love the fact you took 4 games from UND this year! They are a .500 team and yet every ranking has them in the top 5.

My bad. Guess I penciled in the score before the game. How'd they ever score two goals on Chevy. :-)

Welcome aboard Gopher fans. We'll be happy to go 5-0-0 against them in the Final 5.

It must be a quiet night in Grand Forks, what in the world will they do for entertainment?

Instead of being in his dorm studying Boone was at the Pioneer quaffing beers. What are we to do about our mascot??

Piss and moan I'm sure. Can you say 8 points? Great weekend--the boys really stepped up. Chevy is a wall.
Let's hope Swammi stays pessimistic.

CC scores 3 in the third and end SCSU's win streak at 9. First place belongs solely to DU.

What a weekend for DU! Great character building come-from-behind win tonight.

10 games to go in the regular season. I'd say the next 8, before the final series with CC, should be very winnable. Keep it going boys!

Wow you take the Anderson factor away and look what happens ;). I was kind of waiting for DU to do their center ice salute at the end of this game just to piss em off a bit more.

Hostile enviornment? Tough place to play? Hard team to beat? Loud fans? Uh..... am I missing something here? It's not so bad there....looks to me like Rak & Ruegs own that place! Shall we call it Magness East?

Very gutsy and character win by Denver. Thanks for the highlights.

miftilMust be special for Rhett, being the Captain; considering the Captains before him have not fared that well at UND; and here in Rhett's senior year, he takes all 4 games.... neat.

Ahh man... they are using Chelsea Dagger as their goal song. I love that song. I was hoping DU would use it at some point. Now that UND is using it feels a little desecrated.

Those goals are sure to leave Eidsness sucking his thumb and calling out "Daddy?"

Great effort last night. 1st game that I have watched in quite a while where DU was able to turn on the offensive power later in the game and score 3 successive goals. This team is scary good when they are firing on all cylinders. This is the type of effort that they will need if they are going to win the Championship which they are certainly capable of doing. Hopefully they will continue to roll, and peak as they go deep into the playoffs.

Sure glad you guys win like champions......and so humble.

I loved those T.V. commercials. If you want to know what it is like to be a Sioux fan and live in North Dakota those adds tell it all.
