52 SOGs for DU and a clinic on puck control. Great to see Ostrow bag a goal on senior night. Great win by the boys. Set your alarm clock for Sunday.

Convincing win for DU tonight over a UAA team that was overmatched for large portions of the game. DU had good jump, passed the puck well, had UAA chasing quite a bit, and did an effective job around the net. Good start to the weekend.

Keep it going fellas!

Really gotta feel bad for a goalie that makes 45 saves and still loses by 6.

DU plays on Sunday, so they'll know exactly where they stand after all the WCHA games are completed on Saturday night.

That being said, if DU wins on Sunday the worst they will finish is as the #5 seed. If Sconnie were to lose or tie & DU wins, DU will be the #4 seed.

If DU wins on Sunday, they will play Colorado College or Minnesota Duluth in the first round of the playoffs.

If DU were to lose on Sunday, they could still finish in 7th place and if so would play on the road in the WCHA playoffs.

DU students, including the hockey players, will have finals next week, from Wed-Fri. Virtually no DU students will be at Magness Arena next weekend if DU plays at home. They will be on Spring Break.

I thought Scott Mayfield had an off night. Some turnovers and lagging behind on some of the plays. We were debating which underclassmen might leave DU this summer.... and his name came up. The good news is though, he usually doesn't play 2 bad games in a row. So he should be back to his lovable, baby-soft pit bull persona on Sunday.

I disagree. Mayfield didn't take ANY penalties. Has that ever happened?? Great game!

Also, he was +2 with an assist.

On that subject of strong games, I think Joey Legs looked a little off in the first 2 periods. Loney on the other hand had a monster game last night. Phillips had a strong game as well and saw him rush to the end boards which is rare for him!
