For out of town Pioneer fans, all of the action on campus can be seen on Root Sports.

It all kicks off on Thursday night with a pre-game basketball party at Crimson and Gold Tavern [2017 S University Blvd], followed by DU vs Seattle University Hoops Game at 7 PM in Magness Arena.

DU To Set Up Premium Lacrosse Tailgating Area

The University of Denver’s Department for Athletics and Recreation has announced the opening of its newest tailgating venue, the “Lax Zone”, set to debut during the 2012 men’s lacrosse season.

The “Lax Zone,” will be located in the Ritchie Center surface parking lot and will serve as the premium tailgating experience for fans, with the hopes of creating the best home-field advantage possible while also branding Denver, Colo., as the lacrosse capital of the West.

The “Lax Zone” and will feature season-long reserved spaces for fans to host their friends and family and share in the Pioneer spirit prior to face-off. Fans who purchase a “Lax Zone” tailgating spot will receive two parking spaces just steps away from Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Reservations to secure your spot are first come-first serve and the parking spaces are designated for the entire 2012 lacrosse season.

Reserve your spot now and be a part of another historic season as DU men’s lacrosse looks to improve on last season’s Final Four run. “Lax Zone” tailgating spots are just $300 for the entire season and will entitle each fan to their own personal tailgating area.

To secure your Denver Lacrosse “Lax Zone” space for this season, call (303) 871-3720.

Saturday Night Pep Band "March Around Magness"

(above) The DU Pep Band will march around Magness Arena pregame on Saturday night
Thanks to input from alumni and hockey fans, the DU Pep Band will parade around Magness Arena before the game on Saturday night.  DU fans who have traveled to away games have seen the Minnesota, Wisconsin and Boston College bands march around their arenas in pregame performances playing their fight song.

Thanks to equipment and harness purchases funded in the offseason by the Athletic Department, the DU Pep Band will now begin a similar tradition every Saturday night this season.

The Pep Band will perform at the DUGS BBQ pregame event at 6:10 PM and march around Magness Arena at 6:45 PM.  So get to the game early, grab some free grub at the BBQ, take photos with our UnOfficial Mascot, buy a Boone T-shirt or sweatshirt, have a drink at the outdoor Beer Garden and support out student band.  GO DU.

This season when you're trying to decide what to wear to your favorite DU sporting event, consider the latest in Boonewear Apparel.  What says, "Sure, I love DU, but I wish the Chancellor would listen to the People and make Boone the official mascot" more than these elegantly simple designs.

These shirts are the only shirts officially endorsed by the Boone mascot.  All proceeds will pay for Boone's trip to Alaska this winter [Jan 27-28] to give those stupid UAA Bloggers a piece of his mind.  Get ready for a Donald meltdown.
